Digital Skills for SHE Entrepreneurs
Join our campaign as we empower young women entrepreneurs with the skills, tools, and confidence they need to grow their businesses, reach new markets, and thrive in today’s digital economy.
Empowering young women entrepreneurs with digital marketing skills
Across Ghana, many young women are building innovative businesses with strong potential to create jobs and contribute to local economic growth. However, limited access to practical digital marketing skills continues to restrict their ability to promote their ventures, reach wider markets, and compete in today’s digital economy.
The Digital Skills for SHE Entrepreneurs campaign is designed to change this reality. This campaign provides a 12-week intensive digital marketing training programme for a cohort of 15 young Ghanaian women entrepreneurs.
Through this initiative, YOTA aims to equip young women entrepreneurs with the digital marketing knowledge and practical skills they need to grow visibility, attract customers, and increase sales for their businesses. The training is structured to be practical, business-focused, and immediately applicable to participants’ ventures.
Over three months, participants will receive hands-on instruction and guided practice in:
-
-
Content creation for digital platforms
-
Search engine marketing
-
Website development using content management systems (CMS)
-
Email marketing for customer engagement and retention
-
Social media marketing and online advertising
-
Digital marketing strategy development
-
Mini-projects and presentations on business marketing solutions

Why this matters
Digital marketing skills are no longer optional for small businesses. They are essential for visibility, competitiveness, and growth. When young women entrepreneurs gain these skills, they are better positioned to scale their ventures, employ others, support their families, and contribute meaningfully to national development.
This programme goes beyond training. It builds confidence, leadership, and resilience among young women navigating entrepreneurship in a rapidly digitalising economy.
