On the 26th of January 2023, YOTA officially signed on the dotted line of an MOU with Econexus Ventures, a Ghanaian based social enterprise commercializing innovative, clean energy solutions in Africa with a focus on sustainable biofuel and waste-to-energy production while using environmentally friendly technology.

This partnership was born of the Youth Innovation Challenge, an activity under the Africa Youth Partnership for an Equitable Recovery from the COVID-19 Pandemic, in which the Founders of Econexus Ventures; Patience Dzigbordi Alifo and Prince Essel from Ghana emerged one of the winners. To support the implementation of their innovative idea to introduce ethanol as a more viable option to the hazardous and expensive kerosene, wood and charcoal, Econexus Ventures will receive a sum of $5,000 USD.

On the day of the signing, we had the pleasure of meeting the team at the helm of affairs of this well-organised enterprise. The climax of the event was our tour of their working space, where we got to experience the technologically supported production process and were introduced to their various products, paramount of which included the Ecogel; a clean, ethanol-based cooking fuel and its compatible stove.
