YOTA – Youth Opportunity and Transformation in Africa, in collaboration with the Ghana TVET Service and key partners, will co-launch the Ghana TVET Report on Thursday, 2 April 2026, as part of efforts to reposition Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) as a key driver of Ghana’s economic transformation.

The report was developed under the Ghana Chapter of the Youth Employment and Skills initiative of the Pan-African Coalition for Transformation (YES-PACT), implemented by the African Center for Economic Transformation with support from the Mastercard Foundation.

Under the theme “Resetting TVET for Ghana’s Economic Transformation: A Policy Perspective and Generational Dialogue,” the report provides an in-depth analysis of Ghana’s TVET ecosystem. It identifies critical gaps in access, quality, relevance, and coordination, and presents actionable policy recommendations aimed at strengthening the sector and aligning it with labour market demands.

The upcoming launch will convene policymakers, development partners, private sector actors, civil society organisations, and young people to engage in a generational dialogue on the future of skills development in Ghana. The event will provide a platform to reflect on key findings from the report and explore pathways for translating recommendations into practical reforms.

YOTA emphasises the importance of inclusive, youth-centred approaches in shaping policies that respond to the realities of today’s labour market. The organisation continues to champion collaboration among stakeholders to ensure that TVET systems deliver meaningful employment outcomes for young people.

The Ghana TVET Service is expected to reaffirm its commitment to strengthening the TVET sector through improved training delivery, enhanced infrastructure, and stronger industry linkages.

The Ghana TVET Report is anticipated to serve as a strategic resource for policymakers, practitioners, and development partners working to build a resilient and inclusive skills ecosystem in Ghana.
